Sightseeing in Minehead

To make a change of scenery from the Midlands I found myself in Somerset, not far from the Devon county border. Minehead offered a range of amenities nearby as well as a great reccommendation from a local to go up Bossington Hill which offered great views of the coastline and countryside.

Catching my eye on the initial drive down, Dunster Castle was a great visit, with a fantastic guided tour and an opportunity to learn a bit more about the castle and its history as well as some great views and vantage points over the surrounding area.

A little further afield, Lynmouth offered a scenic walk and almost fairytale-like scenes as well as a rocky beach (first image).
