A Day at Shugborough

The theme of my National Trust days out continues, this time you find me at Shugborough in Staffordshire, exploring the grounds and estate of the Georgian mansion.

There’s quite a bit to explore at Shugborough, both within the gardens, estate and house. The estate backs onto Cannock Chase and you can also walk to nearby Great Haywood over the Essex Bridge for a pub lunch.

Alongside the main house, I also saw the walled gardens – which are a fair distance from the house as well as The Stable Block and Hadrian’s Arch.
